Masterson’s Pub , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my latest trip at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I found behind its walls was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that cleanliness was not a priority at this establishment . The floors were sticky , and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms suffused the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and sour vomit . The bar area , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages .
